Climate-smart agriculture

ARIC supports climate-smart agriculture training focused on good agronomic practices, post-harvest management, soil and water conservation and other practical approaches that help farmers strengthen productivity, food security and resilience. The project promotes practical learning relevant to local conditions and responsible management of land, water, crops and other natural resources.

WASH, hygiene promotion and sanitation uptake

ARIC supports water, sanitation and hygiene promotion and sanitation uptake in two community units: Chepkalacha in Tiaty East and Kadokoi in Tiaty East.

The project promotes practical hygiene awareness, safe water practices, improved sanitation behaviors and community action that contributes to healthier households and communities.

Support to borehole rehabilitation response

ARIC supports the County Borehole Rapid Response Team in the rehabilitation of selected boreholes in Monambelei in Tiaty West, Cheptobokwo in Tiaty Central, Kreeze in Tiaty West and Kadokoi in Tiaty East.

ARIC supported the procurement of fast-moving parts to assist the team with major repairs. The project contributes to improved access to essential water infrastructure and supports local response capacity.
